In 2007 my son and his then fiancé who were born, lived and worked in Hemel Hempstead wanted to continue living here but could not afford even the smallest property in the town. A possible solution was to build a new property in the side garden of my wife’s parents’ house in Windmill Road.
We consulted PPM on the feasibility of this solution to their problem.
In consultation with all concerned PPM designed the property, obtaining planning consent which was less than easy but PPM’s knowledge of the system and its requirements proved invaluable in successfully driving the process. We even had to deal with the Council issuing a tree preservation order on a tree on the boundary of the property boundary which would have prevented the construction of the house
The house was constructed as a self-build project and the advise and recommendations from PPM throughout ensured a successful conclusion.
